It was a big show Monday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as Barbra Streisand took the stage for the first of nine shows on her current tour.
The twenty-two song performance included guest duets on four songs with Babyface, recreating a duet from last year’s Partners, and Jamie Foxx, Seth McFarland and Anthony Newley, who are all on the upcoming Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway.
While many of the hits were included in the show, Streisand also dug deep for a few songs. First time live performances included Being at War With Each Other, the opening cut from the album The Way We Were, Everything Must Change from Higher Ground, Isn’t This Better from the Funnny Lady soundtrack. Others had been on the shelf for some time including Everything from A Star is Born which she hasn’t done live since 1976.
